Stories About Kid Entrepreneurs – Through 2nd Grade

By Jill McDonough While there are many how-to books out there for kid entrepreneurs, I believe it is more important (and more fun) to read stories about kid entrepreneurs, even in preschool through second grade. And yes, preschool through second grade is a fantastic period in a child’s life to start them thinking about being a kid entrepreneur. Why do we want our kids to have an entrepreneurial side? The way to make money and be successful is rapidly…

Income Report & More for May 2021

By Jill McDonough Welcome to my May 2021 Income Report and More. This month was filled with unexpected events. This month I had to return to Massachusetts for my brother’s funeral. While I’ll miss him terribly and the funeral was hard, it was nice to see family for an extended time. My husband and kids stayed home. It was comforting knowing that the kids were keeping up on their homeschooling and they even made dinner for dad a few nights. As I always say, the wonderful part of having side hustles online meant that I could work on them while on the road and while in another state. Even on…

Make Money Teaching Your Own Children – Teach at a Homeschool Co-op

By Jill McDonough You can literally make money teaching your own children. Teaching at a homeschool co-op is another way homeschooling moms can make money teaching what they know. In a Facebook group, someone asked where in the area their daughter could learn French. I posted that I tutor in French. After chatting with the mom, we came up with the idea of not just tutoring, but rather seeing if there were other kids interested in an in-person class. I said I…

The beauty of having side hustles online meant that I could work on them while on the road and while in another state. Not all side hustles are like this, but it’s…
